Makassar Regional Super-Tie MC2D survey is available now

The Makassar Regional Super-Tie MC2D is now completed and available to the E&P companies. The data was acquired late 2010 and has been processed by CGGVeritas in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The Makassar Regional Super-Tie MC2D will provide the E&P companies with a modern, high fidelity, seismic dataset for regional prospective play analyses necessary for optimum, more efficient, exploration. It ties more than 50 well in this very prospective petroleum province.

Survey grid, acquisition and processing parameters have been optimally designed to:

  • Tie existing 2D and 3D seismic data and wells with one contiguous master grid - enhance value obtained from exisiting data
  • Carry out regional/stratigraphic and play risk mapping, assess hydrocarbon potential and highgrade exploration areas
  • Establish regional geological framework that enhances confidence on license/local evaluation
Deep structural pre- and synrift basins have been revealed through the targeted acquisition parameters of a big seismic source of 5,000 cu in, 9km streamer and record length of 13s.
