MCG commences Barents Super Tie MC2D May 16
MCG mobilised MV Nalivkin the 16th of May to commence the MC2D-1102 Barents Super Tie.
The program is 6,426 km long and ties 64 exploration wells (including this year’s drilling campaign of Nordvarg, Skalle, Heilo, Zappfe and Eik) and 11 IKU shallow wells.
The data will be acquired with a 8,100 m long, solid streamer and a 4,100 cu in source to secure a modern, high resolution, high fidelity, consistent data set for tieing all the key wells in the Norwegian Barents Sea. Rock Solid Images will condition all the wells for geophysical analyses and tie them to the MCG MC2D. For more information see www.rocksolidimages.com.
Acquisition is expectted to be completed end July with processed data avaiable by year end.
The survey is well supported by oil companies.
